The Research Hub is pleased to announce that its completed project reports will be made available on an ‘open access’ basis to any interested readers. Following discussions with the Hub’s governance bodies, comprising stakeholders from across industry and regulators, fees for non-Scheme participants to access the Hub’s research have been removed. This is part of a wider plan to raise the profile of the Hub’s work, helping it to fulfil its aim of supporting the CCS and BCS by providing evidence to inform developments in processes and policy.

By sharing the results of the research funded by CCS and BCS participants, the Hub can maximise the impact of its work on policy and regulation developments. The Hub will be identifying target audiences for its research and taking note of which stakeholder groups are using the reports. This approach will consolidate the Hub’s reputation as a source of robust evidence to support the organics recycling sector. The greater transparency represented by open access will bring the Hub into alignment with bodies such as WRAP and will contribute to improving public trust in the sector.
